What’s Included in the 2026 Honda Prologue Home Charging Package?

Shopping the 2026 Honda Prologue? Home charging is usually the make-or-break convenience factor—so let’s break down what comes with the Prologue, what you choose at purchase, and what may be optional depending on your home.
What you get standard: Honda Portable Charging Kit
Every 2026 Prologue includes a Portable Charging Kit to help you start charging right away. It’s designed for flexibility—charging at home or on the go using either:
- a standard 120-volt outlet (Level 1), or
- a 240-volt outlet (Level 2) (when available).
This is a convenient starting point for overnight top-offs—especially if your daily driving is predictable.
The choice you make: included-in-MSRP package options
Honda gives Prologue buyers a choice between two package options (included in the vehicle’s MSRP).
Option A: Home Charging Station Package
If you want the easiest day-to-day routine, the Home Charging Station Package includes:
- a home wall-mounted charger, and
- up to a $1,250 installation incentive.
For reference, Honda says that on a Level 2 (240V) charger, the Prologue can add up to 34.1 miles of range per hour.
Best fit if you:
- commute regularly (hello, I-495),
- rack up miles most weekdays, or
- want the simplest “plug in at night, drive in the morning” routine.
Option B: $500 Sales Credit Package
Already have home charging covered—or planning your own setup? Honda also offers a $500 sales credit applied to your sales contract.
Best fit if you:
- already have a Level 2 charger installed,
- have a charging setup at work, or
- need flexibility due to condo/parking constraints.
What’s often optional (and how to choose your home setup)
Even with the right package choice, the “right” home setup depends on your house and driving habits.
1) How far do you drive on an average weekday?
- Shorter commutes + plenty of overnight time: the portable kit may cover your needs
- Longer commutes or lots of daily trips: Level 2 at home usually feels dramatically easier
2) Where do you park most nights?
- Garage/driveway: easiest path to Level 2 home charging
- Shared lot/street: you may lean more on public charging (and the portable kit when possible)
3) What might affect installation?
Home installs can vary based on things like:
- electrical panel capacity
- distance from panel to where the charger will be mounted
- permits/inspection requirements
If you’re not sure, that’s normal—this is exactly the kind of thing we can talk through during an EV Q&A.
Road-trip note: DC fast charging + expanded network access
Honda says DC fast charging can add approximately 65 miles of range in about 10 minutes and can recharge from 20% to 80% in about 35 minutes (charging results vary by conditions).
Honda also notes Prologue drivers can access Tesla Supercharger network (NACS) ports and other NACS DC fast chargers with purchase of the Honda NACS-CCS adapter.
